MANILA, Philippines–The Philippine National Police (PNP) gave last-minute reminders on Tuesday to keep the public secured and safe as the Holy Week exodus from Metro Manila begins.
Chief Superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac, PNP Public Information Office chief, laid out the do’s and don’ts before, during, and after traveling during the Lenten break.

While the police assure the people that they will maintain heavy security over the Holy Week, Sindac asked the public to do also their part in protecting themselves from lawless elements.

Since last week, all PNP units have been placed under the heightened alert status.
