Metro Manila posted 42 percent, or 204, of the reported 486 new registered cases of HIV in the country in February, based on figures from the Department of Health. The new cases brought the total number of reported HIV cases nationwide to 17,450 since 1984.—Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
