Tropical Storm ‘Domeng’ now closer to Davao

MANILA, Philippines—According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), Tropical Storm “Domeng” (international name: Peipah) is slowly getting closer to land as its last location was estimated at 770 kilometers east of Davao City as of 10 a.m.

“Domeng,” the fourth weather disturbance to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility this year, has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of 80 kph.

No storm signals have been raised as of posting time.

According to Pagasa, “Domeng” is travelling at 15 kph west northewest.

It is estimated that “Domeng” would be 480 km east of Davao City on Tuesday morning.
