Ex-bank exec nabbed

TARLAC CITY—A former rural bank manager who was sued for qualified theft in October last year by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. was arrested by police on Tuesday.

Police arrested Ana Marie de Leon, former manager of the closed First Provincial Bank of Tarlac, in Barangay Kinauganan in Tarlac City.

No bail was allowed for De Leon, who is facing charges of illegally withdrawing P6.6 million from the accounts of depositors. Tonette Orejas, Inquirer Central Luzon
