The northeast monsoon, which brings cold winds from Siberia, continues to affect Luzon and the Visayas but the weather this week will be generally fair, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

“Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and the Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains,” Pagasa added in an advisory.

The work week will see good weather in Luzon and the Visayas.

Between March 3 and 7, the two regions will experience “generally fair weather conditions” apart from isolated light rains, especially over the eastern section due to the northeast monsoon, Pagasa said.

Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms during the period, it added.

Pagasa said it did not expect a tropical cyclone to affect the country this week.
