MANILA, Philippines – Exactly two weeks after a bomb scare hit a university in Quezon City, another was reported in Manila.

Following the threat, which later turned out to be a hoax, against the Ateneo de Manila University on Feb. 12, the University of Sto. Tomas received a similar message Wednesday via text message that spread around the campus saying that bombs would go off at Albertus Magnus, St. Raymund’s and Roque Ruaño buildings between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

According to a Twitter post from Argee Gonzales, the Central Student Council Vice President from 2012 to 2013, the text message came from the mobile number 09162022381.

The Office for Student Affairs advised students not to tweet about the bomb scare.
As of posting time, UST Security Head Joseph Badinas and staff from the Manila City Hall are making the rounds inside the St. Raymund’s Building.
