MANILA, Philippines—Security preparations for the arrival of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles at the Philippine National Police General Hospital for a series of medical tests are now being‎ finalized by the police.

Chief Superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac, PNP Public Information Office, said Tuesday that the PNP Special Action Forces and the Headquarters Support Service units were holding a “special meeting” for Napoles’ movement on Wednesday.

After the morning meeting of SAF and HSS, Sindac said all other participating units will be meeting to discuss further the security details for Napoles’s arrival.

The Makati Regional Trial court approved the detained businesswoman’s plea to seek medical check-up outside Fort Sto. Domingo due to a possible ovarian tumor.

Last Oct. 24, 2013, a counsel for Napoles said her client was rushed to the Southern Luzon Hospital and Medical Center after experiencing severe abdominal pains and “profuse menstrual bleeding for nine consecutive days.”

On Monday, Chief Superintendent Alejandro Advincula, PNP Health Service director, said Napoles would undergo ultrasound, blood tests, transvaginal ultrasound to determine the cause of her medical complaint.

Although the PNP refused to divulge the exact time of departure and arrival of Napoles, Advincula said the tests would only last half a day.

Meanwhile, the PNP PIO, according to Sindac, had asked the PNP General Hospital doctor to release a medical bulletin after the medical exams.
