MANILA, Philippines–The whole archipelago will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, the state weather bureau said on Monday.

This was because of the easterlies affecting Luzon and Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (Pagasa) weather bulletin said.

It will not be as cold as previous days, however, Pagasa said.

The northeast monsoon, or hanging amihan, which is responsible for bringing cold weather, will last until mid February.

“Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough,” Pagasa said.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.
