Cops demolish Digos frontons

DIGOS CITY—Police demolished illegal betting stations here on Friday in what could be a determined drive to eradicate the illegal gambling operations being run by a big syndicate.

In a report, Supt. Querubin Manalang, city police chief, told reporters that as of Saturday, they had demolished 20 betting stations for Last Two  and other illegal numbers games.

A source at the city police office said their goal of identifying and charging financiers would have been a lot easier if the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group  provided help. Orlando B. Dinoy, Inquirer Mindanao
