MANILA, Philippines – Despite the clamor at the House of Representatives to repeal the political dynasties in the country, President Benigno Aquino III said that the anti-dynasty bill is not on his priority list.

Aquino said that he has many other items in his agenda, both domestic and international matters, but the anti-dynasty bill was not on the list.

“I want to see the whole of it,” said Aquino at the Ten Outstanding Filipinos of 2013 awarding ceremony at the Insular Life Building Wednesday morning. “I want to see all of the details and I am asking for your apology that it is not a priority for the moment, but if I look at it and it is doable, why not.”

Aquino said that his current priority is the pension of police officers and the soldiers, which he claimed is not funded by the Government Service Insurance System.

The President claimed that more than P50 billion should have been appropriated to the police and soldiers last year and the pension should reach P80 billion for 2016.

He said that the missing pension is a road block to the government to recruit more soldiers and police officers.
