MANILA, Philippines—After nearly two weeks of hovering over Mindanao and managing to transform intertropical depression “Agaton,” the low pressure area that entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on January 10 finally dissipated.

According to the 11:00 am weather advisory of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, despite the passing of the LPA, Eastern Visayas and Mindanao would still experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Also, the northeast monsoon (known locally as amihan) would still affect the seaboards of Luzon and Eastern Visayas bringing a cold breeze and strong to gale force windflow.
