UE 65th anniversary rites

MANILA, Philippines–The University of the East (UE) will unveil the newly refurbished bust of Dr. Jose Rizal at the UE Caloocan administration lobby on Monday, Sept. 12, as part of the nearly month-long activities for UE’s 65th foundation anniversary celebration this year with the theme “Jose Rizal: Nasa Puso Ng UE.”

The school’s anniversary will officially begin on Sept. 25 with UE officials, alumni, students, faculty members, employees and special guests, holding a motorcade from UE Manila to Fort Santiago, Intramuros, and then a walk to the Rizal Monument to lay a wreath in honor of the national hero.

UE’s other pre-anniversary events include the opening of exhibits at UE Manila and at UE Caloocan, bloodletting for dengue victims on Sept. 13, seminars, sports fest, shooting competition, job fair, musical variety show, tree planting, and community outreach program.
