“So, you’re the family’s dishwasher!” Police said this snide remark provoked a 23-year-old man reportedly high on drugs to stab a neighbor in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City, Tuesday morning.

The suspect, Emmanuel Dalusi, was arrested after the attack on Marvin Ramos, 30, who was brought to Pasig City General Hospital and later transferred to Chinese Medical Hospital.

In a statement to the police, the victim’s mother Sandra said Dalusi was washing the dishes at his residence on Manga Street around 8 a.m. when her son approached and teased him about being the family’s designated dishwasher.

Dalusi, who Sandra said appeared high on drugs and had just returned from a drinking session, apparently felt insulted and stabbed Ramos with a kitchen knife.
