Aside from the cash gift and discount booklets, seniors aged 60 and above will receive a cake during their birthday.

A proposal pending with the City Council seeks to give P100,000 to an elderly resident who reaches 100 years old.

Rosalina Gamboa, 69, of barangay Gun-ob, was one of those who received a P1,500 cash gift.

She said she used the money from previous payouts for food and medicine.

Gamboa is single and is taking care of her bedridden 90-year-old mother, who also received the cash assistance yesterday.
