To prepare for the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is adopting the theme “ASEAN 2015 and Beyond” for next year’s celebration of Cebu Business Month (CBM).

Chamber officers launched yesterday CBM 2014 with Virginia Foods, Inc. president Felix O. Tiukinhoy, Jr. as the overall chairman.

The recent calamities, the Oct. 15 earthquake and typhoon Yolanda, underscored the need for the businesses sector to strengthen its competitiveness and be ready to tap opportunities in the coming ASEAN integration, Tiukinhoy said.
