Disney to spread holiday cheer in Manila
MANILA, Philippines—Disney characters will stage a spectacular “Disney on Ice show” this holiday season in Manila.
This as the world’s most famous ice show celebrates 23 years in the Philippines.
For this year’s ice show, get tangled up with Rapunzel and Flynnn and enter the worlds of Disney Princesses—Tianna, Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Mulan, and Snow White. Set sail with Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and Captain Hook in Neverland; trek the savannah with Simba, Nala, Pumbaa, and Timon; and set a date with Alice and the Mad Hatter as they march with the Queen of Heart’s army of cards.
“We have chosen some of the greatest gems from the Disney treasure chest for this production,” said producer Nicole Feld.
Feld said they will stage action-packed stories that will resonate not only with kids but with parents as well.
According to Feld, the Disney on Ice “Treasure Trove” will feature everything from the swashbucking pirates in Peter Pan to the comedic duo Timon and Pumbaa in the Lion King.
The show, according to Feld, will include moments from classic Disney Films like Peter Pan, The Lion King, Alice in Wonderland, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, as well as new favorites Tangled and Princess and the Frog.
The show will run from December 25 to January 14 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“I am inviting everyone to watch Disney on Ice presents “Treasure Trove,” Feld said.
Parts of the proceeds will be donated to the victims of Supertyphoon “Yolanda” (Haiyan).
