Senate suspends hearing after Napoles complains of dizziness

MANILA, Philippines – The Senate blue ribbon committee suspended its hearing Thursday after Janet Lim-Napoles, the alleged mastermind in the pork barrel scam, told the body that she was “dizzy”.

Napoles, a diabetic, informed the senators about her condition just when Senate Majority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano was about to ask questions.

“Diabetic kasi ako [I’m a diabetic],” Napoles said.

Cayetano then moved to suspend the hearing and allow Napoles to take her lunch, saying that her health was always the priority.
