MANILA, Philippines – If Senate Minority Juan Ponce-Enrile is the most guilty, then say so, so he would not order to kill you, Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago told Janet Lim-Napoles on Thursday.

“Don’t underestimate Enrile. That old man is still hot,” Santiago said in Filipino during the hearing of the Senate blue ribbon committee.

Santiago then noted how Enrile would bring his aides even when he goes to the Senate restroom.

FEATURED STORIES

Before this, Santiago repeatedly asked Napoles if Enrile was the one being referred to as “tanda,” the code name of a senator who had allegedly received kickbacks from her.

Santiago noted that 89-year-old Enrile was the oldest member of the Senate.

But Napoles invoked her right against self-incrimination.
