MANILA, Philippines – A mining supervisor who was kidnapped in Camarines Norte in September escaped from his captors Tuesday, was found by police in Cavite and pointed to his abductors’ hideout where the suspects were arrested, an official said.

Superintendent Rommel Estolano, Cavite police spokesman, identified the victim as Josue Tuibeo, 27, a mining supervisor, and his kidnappers as Felizado Pagulayan, Danilo Glipa and Anthony Peralta.

He said Tuibeo was abducted last September in Labo, Camarines Norte, and a P60 million eansom was sought in exchange for his freedom. He was kept at Bahayang Pag-Asa Subdivisoon in Bacoor City.

A follow-up operation was then conducted for the arrest of the suspects, Estolano said.

“Tuibeo was asked where the suspects were. When police officers got there, authorities negotiated for the peaceful surrender of the suspects,” Estolano said.

A radio report said suspect Pagulayan was listed among the most wanted in the national level, and has a P500,000 bounty for his arrest.
