PARKMALL continues its drive towards being a pet-friendly mall as it will include a “run with your dog” category in its Parkmall Green Mile Anniversary Fun Run slated Oct. 27.

The run-for-a-cause is part of Parkmall’s celebration of its fifth anniversary and it starts at the mall’s open grounds at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City.

The proceeds of the running event will be given to the Island Rescue Organization (IRO) and the Freeman Foundation.

Other categories aside from the one-kilometer run with your dog include 3k, 6k, 15k and 21k half marathon. A total of P75,000 worth of cash prizes will be given out to the winners.

Others present during the launching were IRO’s Nena Hernandez, The Freeman general manager Melando Mendoza and race diretor Joel Baring of Sports and Fitness Enthusiasts.

Registration will kick off tomorrow with the registration fee pegged at P250 for the 1k, P300 for the 3k, P350 for the 6k, P400 for the 15k and P450 for the 21k. Registration areas are at Parkmall and the A Runners Circle in Raintree Mall.  /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
