MANILA, Philippines – Senator Jinggoy Estrada on Monday told media that former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile was in the hospital because of high blood pressure.
Estrada, in a televised press conference, said he was able to talk to him the other day.
“He’s okay, in high spirits,” Estrada said.
Estrada addressed the media on Monday to counter allegations that he misused his Priority Development Assistance Fund.
The press conference happened as the National Bureau of Investigation submitted to the Ombudsman documents allegedly linking Estrada, Enrile and Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. to the pork barrel scam.
