MANILA, Philippines – As if the firefight between members of the Moro National Liberation Front and government troops isn’t enough, fire gutted several houses in Zamboanga City Tuesday.

In a twitter post, the Zamboanga City Government (@zambocitygovt) said the blaze spread to five houses at Barangay (village) Sta. Barbara.

It said firefighters have responded but were advised by military to wait for clearance to conduct suppression operations due to the ongoing clash.
