MANILA—President Benigno Aquino III has cancelled a trip to China scheduled next week, the Inquirer learned Thursday.

Malacañang gave no reason why Aquino would no longer attend the 10th China-Asean Expo to be held in Nanning City from Sept. 3 to 6.

President Aquino has been criticized for meeting with fugitive Janet Lim-Napoles in Malacañang on Wednesday night after she asked to surrender to him. The President even escorted Napoles to the Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame where she was booked.
