College student abducted outside family store in North Cotabato

KIDAPAWAN CITY — Unidentified armed men on Saturday abducted a college student of the Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) in Midsayap, North Cotabato outside his family’s store, according to reports reaching the North Cotabato provincial police office here.

The report, sent out by the Midsayap police, identified the victim as 19-year-old Mark Anthony Bayan.

Bayan was helping in the family store when two men – armed with handguns – forcibly took and shoved him to a grey car early Saturday evening.

The suspects’ getaway car was later recovered in the border of Midsayap and Kabuntalan towns in nearby Maguindanao province.

The suspects have not made contacts with the victim’s family yet, the report said.
