UV teams see action today

THE GROWING grassroots basketball program of the University of the Visayas (UV) takes center stage today as both their Small Basketeers of the Philippines (SBP) and Passerelle squads take on separate opponents in the Cebu leg of the Milo Best Center-backed Twin Tournament at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) basketball courts along Mango Avenue.

UV’s SBP squad aims to bounce back from a 25-47 loss to defending champions University of San Carlos when it takes SHS-AdC at 9:15 am.

The UV Passerelle team, the reigning Cebu and Visayas champions, is set to battle Southwestern University at 10:30 a.m.

The Cebu champion will face off against the champions from Bacolod, Iloilo and Roxas for the Visayas Regional Finals, with the Visayas champion qualifying for the national finals. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
