DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines—Three men were shot dead in two separate attacks in Sto. Tomas, Pangasinan, late Wednesday afternoon.

In a text message, Senior Inspector Ryan Manongdo, Pangasinan police spokesman, identified the victims as brothers Nelson Taguinod and Darwin Taguinod, both of Barangay (village) San Marcos in Sto. Tomas, and Tomas Marzan of Barangay Sto. Niño, also in Sto. Tomas.

The Taguinod brothers were shot around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in Barangay San Agustin while Marzan was gunned down in Barangay La Luna at about the same time.

Manongdo said the still unidentified assailants aboard a motorcycle shot the victims several times.

Police are still looking into the motive of the killings.
