“We will be fast, efficient and streamlined in implementing projects because the legislative and executive departments are in harmony,” he said in his speech.

In health care, Tiangco said he would oversee the expansion of PhilHealth’s medical coverage, especially among indigent residents, as he also promised to complete the Navotas City Hospital in time.

On education, he vowed to support the government’s K-12 program and unveiled plans to build a science high school and technological-vocational senior high school on top of the conduct of skills training programs for the Navotas Manpower Training Center.

Tiangco also vowed to continue the city government’s antidrug abuse campaign and maintain peace and order with 100 new policemen designated for the city.

The city government will also continue its housing program based mainly in Barangay Tanza while also continuing to provide low-interest loans for residents wanting to start businesses.

Meanwhile, in his speech, Binay acknowledged the achievements of Tiangco, who is related to the city’s former mayor Toby Tiangco, as he spoke in favor of political dynasties.
