DTCC shines again in mid-year tourney
The famed Dancesport-Team Cebu City (DTCC) continued to bring honor and glory to Cebu as they hauled 17 gold medals, 12 silvers and a bronze medal in the 2013 Dancesport Council of the Philippines Mid-year Ranking and Competition last Saturday evening at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
At the helm of the gold rush was the pair of Bjorn Torreon and Elsa Zetz, who won a total of three gold medals with their conquests in the 2E, grade C and SE 2B classes of the modern standard event.
John Paul Mocorro was also a triple-gold winner as he paired up with Therese Quilaton to win the junior A Latin and Standard events before winning one with Jam Flores in the Standard youth C class.
Flores also added another gold medal to her name when she teamed up with Bert Diluvio to win the SE Male Latin event.
Eo Lowen Rendon and Mary Desiree Seraga won two gold medals by virtue of their wins in the SE 1F and SEM Latin disciplines.
Also winning two gold medals was the team’s directress Eleanor Hayco, who in the SE 2A Latin with Wilbert Aunzo and then another one in the Senior C Standard with Davin Unabia.
The rest of the gold medal winners were Jojit Cabuenas and Kieko Ozaeta (SE 2B Latin), Charlie Camacho and Marisse Reyes (Sr. A Latin), Andrew Ysla and Kathlene Diluvio (Junior C Latin), Rinzon Elarcosa and Reyana Elarcosa (Youth C Latin), Zjine Villarta and Zjiana Villarta (Youth A Standard) and Jeffrey Benarao and Mary Mae Canillo (Youth A Latin).
