A sport utility vehicle with an official of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on board was hit by a bullet Tuesday morning in Quezon City.

Rose Borja, who was on her way to work, was with her husband who was behind the wheel when the incident happened.

Kamuning police station commander Supt. Marcelino Pedrozo said the bullet, believed to have come from a .45-cal. pistol, pierced the windshield of the victim’s Mazda CX7.

Police learned that Borja was going to her office at the PDEA headquarters where she heads the agency’s Internal Affairs Service.

The bullet pierced the portion of the windshield near the driver’s side and hit the dashboard before it finally landed on the floor.

Pedrozo said the vehicle was hit by what seemed to be a stray bullet based on its downward trajectory.

He added that experts were conducting ballistics tests on the bullet to determine the caliber and the type of gun it may have been fired from.

Pedrozo also said they were considering all possible angles in the incident, including the possibility that it may be related to Borja’s work.
