Mandaluyong tweeters don’t get response from Mandaluyong authorities

MANILA, Philippines—Just as when many people rely on the social media to get information in times of emergency, during the height of the flashfloods in parts of Metro Manila on Monday night commuters from Mandaluyong had to fend for themselves.

They had been trying to get information about the situation but there was a glaring absence of it from the local government’s Information Office’s twitter account @mandaluyongPIO.
