MANILA, Philippines — The Sandiganbayan on Tuesday allowed former Philipine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) chairman Manuel Morato to attend a nephew’s wedding later in the day.

His nephew, Manuel Morato Cuenca’s wedding will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Heart of Jesus and Mary Parish in Quezon City. Morato is one of the principal sponsors in the wedding.

Morato is a co-accused, along with former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, in the over P300 million plunder case for allegedly funnelling money from the agency’s confidential fund for over three years.

Morato has been under hospital arrest since last year at St. Lukes Medical Center after he underwent triple heart bypass surgery on October 2012.
