Cold front to bring rain to parts of Luzon, Mindanao—Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines – Parts of Luzon and Mindanao will experience rains and cloudy skies due to a diffused tail-end of a cold front and intertropical convergence zone [ITCZ] on Monday, the state weather bureau said.
The Regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Mimaropa, Soccsksargen, Zamboanga Peninsula and the Provinces of Aurora and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its morning bulletin.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly over the western section.
While the rainy season has yet to be declared, Pagasa said a diffused tail-end of a cold front was affecting the Northern and Central Luzon, while an intertropical convergence zone was affecting Southern Mindanao.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast to south will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the east to northeast over Mindanao, Pagasa said.
The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate, it added.
