1 killed in Quezon City fire
MANILA, Philippines—One was killed as fire struck a residential building in Quezon City Friday, a fire officer said.
Fire Officer 2 Rey Romero said fire hit the three-storey Lanai Building in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Quezon City past 3 p.m.
“One was said to be killed, but authorities on the ground have yet to identify the name and even the gender of the victim,” Romero said.
A radio report said the fatality was a 50-year-old house helper.
The fire reached second alarm before it was put out at 4:06 p.m.
