Llasos concedes defeat in Senate race

MANILA, Philippines—Lawyer Marwil Llasos of Ang Kapatiran Party on Tuesday conceded defeat in the senatorial race.

“From the very start I have no illusion of winning,” he told Inquirer over the phone. “I am conceding but it doesn’t mean I’m waiving my right to question the anomalies I’ve witnessed during the elections.”

Llasos also tweeted Tuesday morning: “@iluvmarwilop: It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. It is better to have fought and lost than never to have fought at all.”
