Police foil leap
POLICE prevented a man from jumping off the old Mactan-Mandaue Bridge in Lapu-Lapu City shortly before noon yesterday.
PO1 Jovelito Sismar and PO1 Alexander Septimo of the Lapu-Lapu police rushed to the bridge after receiving reports that a man was about to jump there.
The man was already standing on top of a railing when the policemen arrived.

The two policemen managed to convince the man not to jump and brought him to their house in barangay Pajo.
According to the parents, the man has been depressed and has not been eating well after his live-in partner left him. CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
