Catanduanes mayor’s van shot at, no one hurt—military
Mayor Abelardo Abundo Sr., with his wife and some supporters, were aboard a dark blue Kia Pregio van on its way to his residence in Soboc village when it was hit with a single shot past 2p.m., said Major Angelo Guzman of the Army’s 9th Infantry Division.
A single shot of a caliber .45 was fired at the van, hitting the left window glass near the driver, straight through the dashboard and the windshield.
No one was hurt in the attack, Guzman said.
The slug, meanwhile, was recovered near the driver’s seat.
