Common ad for rival bets

BUTUAN CITY—Rival senatorial candidates from Team PNoy and the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) are set to appear in a rare TV advertisement next week.

The ad was prepared by the White Vote Movement (WVM) an alliance of Catholic lay organizations and is hoped to boost chances of the candidacies of the 10 senatorial aspirants during the final stretch of the campaign.

“At this point, all endorsements will be crucial,” UNA’s Nancy Binay told reporters during a break at her ticket’s campaign sortie here late Wednesday night.

Binay missed the sorties of UNA in Agusan del Sur and Agusan del Norte earlier that day because she had to appear for the ad in Parañaque City from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

She said all candidates endorsed by the WVM, except for Sen. Aquilino Pimentel III, were present during the shoot.

Besides Binay and Pimentel, Team PNoy’s Antonio Trillanes and Cynthia Villar, and UNA’s Gregorio Honasan, Richard Gordon, JV Ejercito, Mitos Magsaysay and Juan Miguel Zubiri were also endorsed by the WVM.
