Alegria bet sued for vote-buying

A mayoral candidate in Alegria town is facing a vote-buying case before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Offce.

Councilor Raul Guisadio and other town officials have allegedly committed the election offense by providing free electric connection “in exchange for votes.”

The candidate “In one time or another illegally connected for free electric power connections or called flying connections from houses to houses in exchange for the votes of the occupants and owners of the houses,” said Alexander Listones, the complainant.

Listones also mentioned in his verified complaint that the respondents offered free fertilizers and herbicides in exchange for votes.

Guisadio is running for mayor in Alegria town under One Cebu Party.

Listones, a registered voter of Alegria, Cebu, filed the complaint before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office last Tuesday afternoon.

Valencia barangay captain, Flora Amatril and her barangay councilor Romeo Jamio also faced the same complaint.

Guisadio is running under One Cebu Party.
