Magsaysay and Dantes shot the TV ad Wednesday at the Ramon Magsaysay Center in Roxas Boulevard Manila.

Dantes wore a Yellow polo-shirt with the number 24 prominently displayed on his breast pocket. Magsaysay’s campaign color is yellow, and 24 is his number in the official ballots for the 2013 midterm senatorial elections.

Magsaysay, who is running under Team PNoy, expressed confidence his senatorial campaign would start looking up, with two of the most sought-after endorsers backing his return to the

Senate.

Dantes has been supporting Magsaysay in his previous senatorial runs.

“We are very thankful that Dingdong who is a longtime friend of my family has agreed to come forward and endorse us,” Magsaysay said in  a statement on  Friday.

Dantes was the latest showbiz personality to express his support for Magsaysay  after actor ‘Ser Chief’ Richard Yap, who also appeared in a TV ad earlier this month to endorse the former senator.

Talk-show host and comedian Ogie Diaz and Miss International 1970 title-holder Aurora Pijuan have also been pushing for Magsaysay’s senatorial bid in the social networking Twitter and Facebook.
