THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) approved the change of venues for the canvassing of votes in Cebu and 81 others around the country last March 19.

In a statement, the Comelec said the change of venue was approved due to security, space and power supply concerns. Some also wanted a change in venue for better transmission of votes to the central office.

In Cebu City’s south district, the canvassing venue was changed from the session hall to City Hall’s Social Hall due to fluctuating transmission signals.
