Cop arrested on charges of raping daughter 22 times

MANILA, Philippines — A policeman who disappeared after being charged with sexually abusing his daughter 22 times was arrested in Quezon City last week.

The Valenzuela City police identified the suspect as Daniel Gabion, 41, a former member of the Northern Police District’s Public Safety Battalion and considered the second most wanted man in the city.

He was arrested at his hideout in Santa Lucia, Novaliches, late Wednesday afternoon.

Before he went absent without leave, charges for 22 counts of rape and violation of the law on violence against women and children were filed against Gabion in the Valenzuela prosecutor’s office.

Earlier this month, the Valenzuela police received a tip that Gabion was staying in Novaliches. This was confirmed in a surveillance operation with help of the Quezon City police.

Gabion tried to elude capture on Wednesday by fleeing his house when he learned that an arrest party was out to get him. He was eventually cornered while hiding in an apartment in the area.

    • Noel

There’s unwritten code inside the jail and prison that if a criminal hurts a child, he would be beat up and even killed. Since the accused is a cop, I wonder if the inmates would touch him.

  • basilionisisa

At paano na kung mabuntis yung bata? i won’t blame her if she would want an abortion, I would even support her, sya na ang naapi sya pa ang mapaparusahan habang buhay (pati ang magiging anak) na magkaroon ng paalala sa KAHAYUPAN ng kanyang ama.

    • Cano Manuel

Capital punishment is a quick way to make him pay for all his deeds. Let him slave away for the rest of his life doing community service or chores within the premises of the prison. Capital punishment is not practical at all.

      • Facilitator1

Sometimes, CAPITAL PUNISHMENT is the only appropriate punishment for a heinous crime.

Even, if this MAN received LIFE IMPRISONMENT without parole–there’s no guarantee that he won’t escapes, or bribes his way out (most specially, our current penal system is so corrupt), or even get paroled. And it’s highly probable if he gets out of prison/incarceration, he’ll commit another dastardly crime or worst; he’ll kill someone.

Your suggestion of “slaving for the rest of his life doing community service or chores” as a PUNISHMENT is MUCH to KIND for this ANIMAL .

There’s an old Chinese saying, and it goes like this: “you need to cut the finger to save the arm”. Maybe, we need to be tough on crimes to discourage/deter would-be criminals–for the good of our country…PEACE

      • Cano Manuel

I believe in second chance and everyone can change for the better. In this current and corrupt system that we have it is likely that the one accused is not the criminal.

If “enslavement for life” is “too kind” for you, then I don’t think I can understand the kind of society you’re brought up with.

      • Kenjie Hasaki

Kindness has its limit…This man must be burned alive… but before that he must also be raped a thousand times in the prison..

      • Cano Manuel

And probably the tightest hole there is are the nostrils.

      • Noel

The cop might be mentally ill. Many cops need psychiatric care. One question I have is that why did the girl not complain being raped for 22 times.

      • Cano Manuel

She feared of being grounded. LOL

      • Noel

She was already grounded 22 times by the maniac.

      • Cano Manuel

        She probably had enough. LOL

  • koaks2

  • boybakal

Bat kaya bilang pa ang pag rape…22 times.
Di na lang hinustong 20 may putal pa.

  • Hey_Dudes

OMG! If only GMA used her head the right way insofar as the capital punishment is concerned, if only she did not rush to judgement making it her centerpiece like a trophy presented to the late Pope John Paul during her audience with the pope, individuals like this police officer who rapes his own daughter should be headed to the vinyl bed with chemicals strapped to his veins prior to leaving earth permanently. The last man dying from lethal injection was also a father sentenced to death for raping his daughter.

  • Yobhtron

  • wakats

22 life sentences in solitary confinement – let him suffer for the remainder of his natural life.

A death sentence is a relief from his troubled world…..

    A sheep in a lion’s lair.

This reminds me of an old Gene Hackman film where his girlfriend confronted him saying, “How can you protect mw from you?”

This beast of a man who raped his own daughter 22 times should be put in a lion’s lair himself and be fed to the beast.

This father who should be the source of safety and security of his own daughter turned out to be the source of danger the poor girl should be shielded from.

He should never be allowed to roam free again.

  • pubringjuandelacruz

there was a movie of similar plot, where the role of the tatay as a policeman was played by manoy Eddie Garcia, where he replied to his wife when he was confronted about the incident, his reply in the dialogue was,”bakit wala ba akong karapatan sa kanya?” Rape is about power, dominance and machismo! mabuhay to the writer, director, producer, actors & actresses of that film( i just can’t recall the title)!!

  • A. H. Forrester

Bullet in the back of the head !

Kotong,kidnap,drug-dealing,protection racket and now rape– raping his own daughter!
    ano ba naman yan?

  • potchi25

    Putulan na lang yan!

  • josh_alexei

Firstly, the man is a Suspect and was not convicted of any of his alleged Crimes in the Court of law…so in accordance to his Constitutional Rights, he is Presumed Innocent until proven otherwise in a Fair and Impartial Public Trial…but where is this place anyway…the Philippines? on Second thought, let Go the Lynching Mobs…Justice, the Phil style…have fun…

  • Noel

How did they know it was 22 times? Did the girl count it? Did she write it down in her calendar or diary? Anyway, one time or 22 times doesn’t matter. The cop committed the crime and must pay for it.

    • Diepor

Why do you want to know that, is it very interresting for you. I guess if your father rapes you it sticks in your mind.

  • disillusioned panda

maybe you guys can try public caning. don’t they do that in the middle east?jailing him or hanging him is too ‘easy’.

  • Noel

She was raped but not 22 times. During the primitive period, parents had sex with children and siblings with one another. That’s why many believe that we’re animals and we came from apes.
