South Korean army K-55 self-propelled howitzers move during an exercise against possible attacks by North Korea in Pocheon, South Korea, near the border with North Korea, Wednesday, March 27, 2013. North Korea said Wednesday that it had cut off a key military hotline with South Korea that allows cross border travel to a jointly run industrial complex in the North, a move that ratchets up already high tension and possibly jeopardizes the last major symbol of inter-Korean cooperation. SEOUL—North Korea said Wednesday it was cutting a military hotline with South Korea, meaning all direct inter-government and military contact has been suspended after it previously cut a Red Cross link.

“From now, the North-South military communications will be cut off,” the North’s official Korean Central News Agency quoted a military official as saying.

“Under the situation where a war may break out any moment, there is no need to keep up North-South military communications,” the official told a South Korean counterpart before the hotline was disconnected.

He said the link would remain severed as long as the South’s “anachronistic hostile acts continue.”

Several weeks ago North Korea severed the Red Cross hotline used by the two governments to communicate in the absence of diplomatic relations.

what if nk fires missiles to the usa mainland or hawaii.
will usa retaliate by firing back nuclear missiles and kill thousands?
or it will just send hiv/aids-carrying perverts to nk and get the same result?

You are embarrassing yourself with these silly comments, and in front of all these bloggers as well, Say something sensible.

If it might be the case that this bewildered child running [sort of] this so called democracy of NK bombs Guam, for example, the protest won’t be only heard from the USA, it will be heard from every sovereign nation that doesn’t have a lunatic running it.. And that includes China, do you think China needs this sort of irritant on it’s door step, this flea on a dog? I don’t think so!

      • ARIKUTIK

The protest will come from every sovereign nation that doesn’t have a lunatic running it.

PH will Not protest because killing of Filipinos in Sabah is justified by her ruler. In other word the ruler can be considered with out doubt as Lunatic.

“do you think China needs this sort of irritant on it’s door step, this flea on a dog? I don’t think so!”

actually, I think NK is China’s bad boy acting up time and again at the prodding of China. Why? China tells NK to act up like a spoiled bully/brat to threaten other countries so that China can get concessions from others, most likely the U.S. Whatever that is, who knows but for sure it has something to do with power and money.

the scarier the provocation, the more capital, chips on the table that China gets. It is walking the tightrope tho’ and things might just get well out of hand, that is the scary part.

no different from doing a kidnapping then demanding ransom later.

      • buttones

Well you have an interesting thesis- Looking at NK economy it is clearly getting funded from somewhere, but do you think China need this sort of bad boy they can stir up and then bring into line and then claim some sort of credit or consession? You might be right I mean who knows what really goes on? It’s a bit scary, nothing worse than a man with a very small brain and a very large gun -so to speak, Amazing the disparity between the North and the South, the South went on to become incredibly successful over the last 50 years, far more so than PH, and the North regressed, named a Democratic Republic under some sort of Stalinist personality cult idealism.. Very strange. It might one day be the case that one day the people will turn against the regime- I’m not banking on that……

If war breaks out, we will know where the Chinese will take sides. U.S. should start expelling Chinese or put them in prison camps.
The same thing in the Philippines, should setup prison camps for Chinese.

    • buttones

Yes build some prisons, that would help GDP, we could call them Concentration Camps, put Chinese in walled ghettos, we could even make all Chinese wear a red star on their breast. The older Chinese we could just ship of to the ovens, we could get our doctors to do interesting experiments on the younger ones— does this scenario ring a bell? My dear you are a racist and xenophobic as well- not ‘cool’ at all- just yes, a kid and very silly at that….

How can there be war when North Koreans wants to escape out from the strangle hold of chubby puppy brained ruler. Once Chaos starts, North Koreans will trek to the south with a smile on their face.
The chubby puppy ruler is only directing a drama for his people to see so that he will be viewed by the citizens not as Puppy ruler but is a man.
The brain of chubby puppy ruler is no different with one in PH branded as Boy AB. All drama for his own grandeur.

Next war will be Russia taking on Cyprus , then they will cut of the gas to Europe and civil war will break out.

    • buttones

Civil war in Cyprus? Is this what you are saying? It’s a divided nation anyway, has been for years, half belonging to the Turks, and the other half the Greeks, I mean there’s a couple of progressive nations…

      • Horst Manure

If you read above I said civil war will break out in Europe , Cyprus is trying to rip off the Russians who control about 35% of the gas going into Europe.
Cyprus is just about in a civil war now and if they don’t open the banks soon there will be.

      • buttones

What you say is simply not true, the Russians invested billions into the lax banking system of Cypress, for obvious reasons, and now, Cyprus being a member of the EU has to account for it’s debt, Russia is not a member of the EU. Civil war in the EU- against whom? I don’t understand where you are going with this premise. Cyprus is basically a bankrupt country, Spain as well, and Italy also, this was the flaw in the whole silly idea of the EU anyway

      • Horst Manure

Civil war is when the civilians fight amongst themselves. Which is now happening in the countries you mention.

The Russians won’t worry about the EU all they will want to their money back stolen from the Russian people by the leaders during the collapse of Russia.

      • buttones

Well I have a basic idea of what civil war means, thank you very much, I am not entirely devoid of all reasoning, but to suggest the EU is on the brink of civil war is a bridge too far, it’s just silly….and as regards to the Russian people being concerned about where all the money went, and wanting it all back well that isn’t true either, it simply isn’t. Have you ever been to Russia? Do you know any Russians? Well I have, and know a few and let me tell you they are just like us- we’re not concerned about recovery of stolen wealth, Marcos a case in point, most of us are just trying to get by… where you at man?

      • Horst Manure

You need to read what I have written and digest..stolen from the Russian people by the leaders during the collapse of Russia. meaning the top brass got away with the loot and sent it to Cyprus. not the general public like here no one has the resources to fight Marcos and find the treasure chest.

        where ARE you at man?

      • buttones

Well I did read ‘what you have written’ [sic] and it maybe the case that the Russian top brass salted away cash in Cypriot banks, I have no idea, but are you suggesting , the government of the Republic of the Philippines does not have the resources to recover the Marcos loot? Of course they do, it’s just that they are not interested.. If they were they would have done it long ago……

      • ARIKUTIK

Just a night ago, one wealthy Russian committed suicide out of bankruptcy. That proves, Russians would rather choose to obliterate themselves than chase the Cypriots. Especially if the wealth in question was dug up from the graves on the birth of Russian capitalism.

Marcos wealth was not from the graves of citizens. It was a share from business profits. Marcos was the greatest business entrepreneur PH ever had. He did set up mega industries no one dares to sink capital. Example, smelter plant, Baseco and many more. Marcos was right, mega industries is the road to progress. The Aquinos blocked it all ’till today in which an empty head says, progress is K+12. No need for infrastructures or industries.

      • buttones

Suicide? This has yet to be established…wait and see…

      • ARIKUTIK

Not a single cent was recovered from GMA’s wealth. No one is interested. In fact GMA continue to enjoy peoples money through PDAF and Free hospital care + board room. Yet a ruler is trumpeting to the world > I’m the greatest “Daang Tuwad” by allotting a free health care for GMA. It will be that way only for eternity.

There will not be civil war but break up of marriage for convenience. Couples carry a single bank account but if one is saving and the other is just spending then naturally the marriage is “turned to piecessss…” Here’s how it happened to EURO in the eyes of a child. A beggar finds a wealthy friend such that it become wealthy too just hanging around a friend. A time had come when the wealthy friend got feed up and say’s “Hey I can not spend for you for the rest of days or else I’ll become beggar too, go fend for yourself”…. all hell broke loose, the sudden wealth of Ireland, Spain, Greece and Cyprus among others just gone Kaput.

See nothing last forever as in SHOWBIZZ governance will eventually reveal > “Hey, that ruler is an Abnoy” … all hell broke loose……

      • ARIKUTIK

Cyprus and Greece are realistic demonstration when one spends on stylish life through borrowed money. The sheriff will invade comes the time of reckoning to take away your honor. Throw away credit cards for it will make one a pauper.

Throw away the ruler who enforced stylish K+12 with out job support to unemployed citizens. But an empty head will reply K+12 is my solution for unemployment……. aaaarrrgggghhhh… the donkiest creature I have ever heard in my entire existence.
