26 fishermen nabbed for illegal fishing in Lapu-Lapu
POLICE arrested 26 fishermen who were caught using fine fish nets while fishing in off barangay Calawisan, Lapu-Lapu City yesterday morning.
Task Force Kalikasan later released the fishermen after they underwent a seminar.
In a separate operation, two persons were arrested also in Calawisan after they were caught selling sodium cyanide locally known as koskos, a chemical used for poisoning fish and other marine life.

Moises Agnes and Joven Bensi allegedly sold seven packs of koskos to Jimmy Ramirez and Generoso Tamparong.
