On this day 17 years ago, 160 persons were killed while 95 others were injured in a fire that hit the Ozone Disco Club in Quezon City. As of February 2013, the international nonprofit organization National Fire Protection Association has ranked the fire as the 7th deadliest nightclub fire in world history.
