3 killed in North Cotabato shooting

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Three men were killed after they were fired upon by unidentified men as they traveled along the national highway in Mlang, North Cotabato early Saturday, police said.

The victims were on their way to Kabacan town, also in North Cotabato, when ambushed by rifle-wielding men in Barangay (village) Lika, said Inspector Rollando Dillera, Mlang deputy police chief.

Dillera identified the victims as Ismael Talusan, 35; his brother Alamid Talusan, 23; and certain Guimbang. They were all residents of Barangay Salapungan in Kabacan, he said.

Dillera said the motive and the identity of the perpetrators remained unknown and the investigation ongoing.
