Lozada pleads not guilty to corruption charges

MANILA, Philippines –Whistleblower Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada on Wednesday pleaded not guilty to allegations of corruption over the alleged anomalous lease of government land to his brother when he was president of PhilForest Corporation in 2009.

Lozada and his brother Orlando were named defendants in the case involving the awarding of a 6.59-hectare leasehold right to Orlando on Dec. 18, 2009 under the Lupang Hinirang program of PhilForest.

The Sandiganbayan’s fourth division scheduled the pre-trial of the case on April 3.
