MANILA, Philippines — A 19-year-old died after he was allegedly shot by a security guard before dawn Friday, police said.

Superintendent Romeo Desiderio, spokesman of the Cavite provincial police office, identified the victim as Vladinir Teves Jr. who was allegedly killed by Richard Marto inside the Villa Celina  Subdivision in Barangay (villge) Bayan Luma 7 in Imus around 1:20 a.m.

Desiderio said Marto, a security guard of the subdivision, shot Teves seven times using a 12-gauge shotgun.

Teves was rushed to Our Lady of Pillar Hospital in Imus City, but was declared dead on arrival, while the suspect was arrested by responding police officers.

The firearm used in the crime was recovered from Marto’s possession, he said.

The information on Marto’s motive was not immediately available.

overkill! 7 times and using a SHOTGUN? Is there any flesh left in his body after those shots?

Did the guard shoot a dead teen or did he shoot the teen dead.  headline confusing.

Hehe. After maybe 20 years of learning English. Waaaaaaaa

“Did the guard shoot A dead teen of did he shoot a teen dead?”

You inserted the article “a” between shoot  and dead, and that made a humongous difference.

At first glance one may conjecture it like what you may have in mind  but it is not difficult to get that the teen was shot dead by the guard.

In my opinion the headline is clear; it is not wrong to say as it that way.

..baka na istorbo ang tulog ng guard…

7 shots from a shot gun would it hold that many rounds???

    • ang_dagat

      4+1 or 5+1

  • ang_dagat

So Desiderio did a post mortem on the victim?

According to “Jamie Marie Elona”, tama naman headline. The first shot from the shotgun killed the teen, then the next six shots is the guard shooting the dead teen.

  • padrefaura

RIP to the teener.
