Fire hits Manila Film Center

MANILA, Philippines—A fire broke out at the Manila Film Center in Pasay City, a Bureau of Fire-National Capital Region officer said Tuesday evening.

Fire Officer Berdin Marylet said firefighters were sent to put out the fire at the center’s Amazing Theatre at 6:53 p.m.

As of 7:22 p.m., the blaze reached the 5th alarm, the volunteer group Textfire Philippines said in a tweet.

The Manila Film Center is near Sofitel Hotel in Manila.
