Heard on Radyo Inquirer 990AM: Precinct chief on arrest of Manila vice mayor

“…I’ve been serving [in the] Blumentritt [police community precinct] for the longest time. Politics has nothing to do with it. What we did in Tambunting was the right thing. Now they are accusing us of using excessive force. The truth is the former President [Joseph Estrada] bullied me during the inquest proceedings, he bumped [me hard] several times….”—Chief Insp. Ed Morata, Blumentritt PCP commander who was teary-eyed as he answered reporters’ questions about the arrest of Manila Vice Mayor Francisco Domagoso and four city councilors for illegal gambling.
