Cancer patient needs help for further tests, meds

Fe Pagobayan

She has completed six cycles of chemotherapy sessions to treat her cancer  last year, but Fe Pagobayan says her battle is far from over.

“I want to get well soon so I would be able to take care of my 72-year-old mother who is quite weak, and not the other way around. But I got mired in debt because of the cost of the treatment,” said Pagobayan.

She said her mother, with whom she lives in Laguna province, has to accompany her every time she has an appointment with the doctor.

Pagobayan resigned from a job in an accounting office in February last year when she found out that she has ovarian cancer.

Her six other siblings are unable to help her since they already have families of their own.

Pagobayan said she needs to undergo a CT Scan and laboratory tests at the Philippine General Hospital in the coming days, as well as buy medicine, all of which would cost her P25,000.

If you want to help her, she can be reached at 0927-4328716. Her bank account number with BPI (Parañaque City branch) is 3359144929.
